CONNECTIVITY SOLUTIONS
NXDATA’s cross-connect services enable private connections between equipment, IT&C infrastructures and networks, depending on the location and technical requirements of the connection.
Connections between equipment and IT&C infrastructures located in the same colocation room, using copper or fiber-optic cables.
Connections between equipment and IT&C infrastructures located in different rooms within the same data center, using fiber optics.
Connections between IT&C infrastructures located in the two data centers, using the NXDATA underground fiber-optic infrastructure.
MEET-ME-RACK (MMR)
Each NXDATA colocation room has a dedicated Meet-Me-Rack (MMR), which serves as the interconnection point between customer infrastructure and the telecom operators, Internet service providers, Internet Exchanges and other networks present at NXDATA data centers.
Cross-connect services are implemented through the MMR. Connections are established using copper or fiber-optic cables, depending on the type of service and the technical requirements of the connection.
A cross-connect connects the customer’s equipment to the NXDATA MMR. For a connection between two infrastructures, each party has its own termination point on the equipment or in the MMR, depending on the existing configuration.
If the infrastructure is already pre-cabled to the MMR, the connection can use the existing cabling.
For connections between NXDATA-1 and NXDATA-2, the two interconnection points are linked through the NXDATA underground fiber-optic infrastructure.
PHYSICAL CONNECTION INFRASTRUCTURE
At NXDATA data centers, cabling services are provided between customer equipment and the NXDATA interconnection infrastructure, using UTP, coaxial or fiber-optic cables, depending on the technical requirements of the connection.
NXDATA operates its own cabling and interconnection infrastructure, enabling connections between equipment, racks, colocation rooms and different data centers.
Cabling between customer equipment and the NXDATA interconnection frame, using Cat5e or Cat6 UTP cable.
Cabling between customer equipment and the NXDATA interconnection frame, using 75-ohm coaxial cable.
Cabling between customer equipment and the NXDATA interconnection frame, using single-mode or multi-mode fiber optics.
ACCESS TO METROPOLITAN NETWORKS
NX-WAY is the metropolitan fiber-optic infrastructure operated by NXDATA, connecting the data centers to the networks available in the Dimitrie Pompeiu area.
Direct access to the Netcity metropolitan network from two directions, East and West, via Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard.
Access to fiber-optic networks located in the Metrorex tunnels, Pipera metro station, and the Iride and Conect business parks in the Pipera business district.
Access to the NXDATA underground fiber-optic route from the UpGround building, connected to the Netcity metropolitan network from two directions, North and South, via Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard and George Constantinescu Street.
